Sections
Section Description
Not to be confused with an architectural Section Cut, a Section, as it applies to a seat location information, is considered a collection of rows within a venue. This is akin to a patron going to Section 517 in a stadium, then looking for their row.
Each Section may only be part of one Venue, and contains a list of rows that iterate typically from the presentation area to the rear of the Venue. While Sections may contain Rows with the same designation, each seat in a section must have a unique combination of Row designation and Seat number.
On seat placement, you have the option to either use an already created Section, or allow the application to create a new section. This allows placement of groups of rows automatically into a single section. The section auto-numbering convention may be adjusted in the Project Default settings window.
Like Venues, Sections may be pre-populated, edited, or deleted via the Edit button. If a seat is currently placed in a section, it may not be deleted.
