Settings General Information
Settings Categories
Settings fall into three categories:
- Project Settings
- User Settings
- Application Settings
Project Settings are stored in the model after the project has been initialized. These settings include Seat Numbering settings, Row Identifier settings, and Default Naming settings for row reference lines and location information. These settings may be made permenant for future projects by clicking the "Set As Default" button in the settings window.
User Settings are specific to application operation and may be adjusted by the user, but are stored as part of the Revit application, not within the project. These settings include the default calculation settings and a few miscellaneous settings.
Application Settings are specific to the application operation, but generally not adjustable by the user except as directed by the application developer.
Most settings will not be accessible until a project has been initialized.
If a setting has changed in the settings window, it will not be saved unless "Ok" is pressed, and the user accepts the dialog to save. Cancelling from the Settings window will revert to the previous settings.
